St George's Church, Holcombe (own website)

Curate in Charge:  The Revd Helen Bays (01626 862860)

Church Wardens: Jenny Kinsey and Brian Pearce

St George's is to be found in the heart of the village, below the Castle Inn.  It was built in Victorian times as a school and worship centre and consecrated to St George the Martyr on 22nd April 1945.  The congregation is drawn from the village and from Dawlish and Teignmouth.  They value the friendliness and community spirit that a smaller village church can provide.  There is a beautiful garden alongside the Church which many value as a place for prayer and quiet reflection and is now affiliated to the Quiet Gardens Movement.  Both church and gardens are open each day.
