At the last meeting the village hall committee requested help in decorating the original hall and Gerry thanked those who had come forward.
Ross Biddle, treasurer of the village hall committee addressed the meeting. He described how this small committee had achieved the building
of the new hall, the refurbishment of the old hall, extended the car park and moved the play area. He appealed for the unity of the village in maintaining this valuable asset that is in constant use and has many forward bookings. Carole Comber has confirmed that the play area passed inspection and is now fully insured. Ideas are invited for dealing with the rough area above the patio and to help with this project. Gerry stated that many HRA members support the village hall, the church, and the shop together with all the various activities and clubs and it is great for everyone to combine in these interests and activities.
There is no news about the removal of the telephone box.
Gerry will organise a third coffee morning for villagers in October.

John Partridge asked for any news about Leigh House or the TPO on the tree. Nothing has been heard about the house and the TPO was declined when John Bromley wrote previously but he has written again asking for it to be reconsidered. John W suggested individual letters might help if anyone felt strongly about it.
